Big updates to the Liminal Stars site lately. Some structural changes but mostly adding new content. I have decided to postpone work on the game's companion app in favor of developing a better system with deep lore first. I will resume work on the app when I feel that there will be no more major changes to system.

I added general details to a lot of planets today, and almost every species currently on this list has its own home-world. I will still need to refine the details and add some more good stuff, but I think it's still worth checking out.

You might notice that the map is not correct, or maybe you thought there was a typo... but no, no typo. I drew the map in a rush and it's the one that isn't correct. But it's kind of lame anyways so I guess next I will figure out how to draw a cool galaxy map...

Announcing the new Liminal Stars website! Is it as great as the app, no. Will it contain enough information to play the game, you bet! It's not finished yet, I might even write the HTML for it by hand if I can't get what I want from google sites... Check it out Liminalstars.com

It's been awhile. I don't feel too bad because no one  knows that this site exsist. Oh well on to the scheduled blog. Alpha testing showed me that my UI design wasn't as great as I thought it was and as such it is overhaulin' time! I've reworked the character sheets, the shop, the inventory, the character creator; and next up is the Shipyard. Not to brag, but I think I'm on to something this time.

I took a detour from the shipyard to add another race, bringing the total up to 13!! Don't worry though despite 13 being a lot they all have unique stat each has 2 unique traits.

This time it was something near and dear to my heart Goblins. Well, Goblins in space you get the idea. This species of scrawny green scavengers are known around the galaxy as Skraggax. Most of the other races don't care much for them as they are generally rude and/or pirates. But no one can deny their contributions to science. The Skraggax have little regard for the past, or even the future, they exist to do what they want to do, any when is a better time than exactly when you feel like doing it.

I've been working on my drawing skills, which still suck by the way, but you can also find your very own Salty Walrus and Friends minecraft skins if you look hard enough. But progress is progress, and as a treat I contracted some art; I'll probably hoard it to myself until I have all 13 though.

I've just finished an early version of the mobile app and it will be available on Google Play to those who are interested! There's still a lot of work to do, but I'd love if you gave it a try and left me your thoughts by using the survey on the homepage of this site!

I've decided to add some starter locations to the basic rules. So far I have 7 star systems planned. Each will include diverse worlds a few sample missions and campaigns. I am also working on making the universe feel more real and alive, I have added 10 or so major organizations(government/large powers) and 30 minor(large businesses/groups) to be included in the rules.

Work to be completed on the starship builder and customizer. It needs to be just perfect as it's and important part of the game. Additionally I'm pretty happy with the character sheet but I may add a new stat or two; Perception, do we need it? Luck; can it be used as a reward for good roleplaying? All good questions.

I have also added a few new species and reworked some of the exsisting ones. I'll update the site eventually but it would be nice if I had some art to go with it so it may take awhile(I can barely draw a stick figure)
